The Weekend Hunger Backpack program is a relief program that provides meals to children who don’t have reliable access to food during the weekends and rely on their weekday lunches from school. Our program strives to provide local school children and their siblings with nutritious kid-friendly food every week to help them stay healthy, happy and successful in the classroom. On average, it costs about $8 to feed a child over the weekend.
We welcome the community’s support for this program and accept donations of nutritious and kid-friendly food during the school year.
